Dr. Alexander Granderath

Alexander Granderath has 20 years of management and turnaround experience with leading global companies such as Danaher, General Electric, Bayer AG and AEG. Dr. Granderath has completed numerous transactions and has implemented lean manufacturing initiatives in many businesses. Additionally, for interim or long-term management needs at portfolio companies, he has a wide network of world class operators to recruit from.

Dr. Granderath has held various posts with systems engineering, service, electrical engineering and medical technology firms. Most recently he served as an Officer of Danaher Corporation, Chairman of its European Board of Directors and President of two of Danaher’s major operating companies. Prior to Danaher, he served in management positions at General Electric, AEG, Bayer AG and Ametek.

Dr. Granderath completed his doctorate in Nuclear Physics with a PhD from Universität zu Köln with lab residencies in Oak Ridge, USA, Stockholm, Sweden and at the Hahn-Meitner-Institut (HMI) in Berlin, Germany.

Markus Schwinge
Special Advisor, Europe

Markus Schwinge has 18 years of management and turnaround experience in the food and logistics industries. Most recently Mr. Schwinge led a 10x growth in turnover at Frische GmbH, a European juice company, and is currently a major shareholder in GS Neue Energien GmbH, a renewable energy business. Previously, he was a Managing Director at LSG Sky at the Frankfurt Airport, responsible for 2,500 employees and €450 million in annual turnover.

He has significant transaction experience and is a strong practitioner of lean manufacturing, having implemented it at each of his previous endeavors. Mr. Schwinge graduated with a Dipl.-Ing. in packaging technology from Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin.

Walter Zagata
Special Advisor, Europe

Walter Zagata has over 25 years of management and turnaround experience with leading global companies, including multiple Danaher subsidiaries in Germany and France. Mr. Zagata has held various operational and financial management positions and has overseen lean initiatives, managed technical R&D teams and run wide-ranging financial operations.

Most recently, Mr. Zagata was the CFO at Tecumseh Europe SA, a leading commercial refrigeration business with annual sales of €220 million worldwide, 4 factories in France and 2 manufacturing subsidiaries in Asia. Prior to that, Mr. Zagata spent ten years with three different Danaher operating companies in France and Germany.

Mr. Zagata has a Master of Business Administration from EM Lyon.
