Neal Cohen Neal Cohen founded CoBe Capital over 15 years ago and has completed over thirty acquisitions as principal in leveraged buyouts, encompassing numerous industries and international locations. He directs all aspects of the firm’s operations, in addition to having originated the firm’s direct marketing strategy to generate deal flow. His deep operations knowledge and wide international transaction experience ensure a quick grasp of each deal. Earlier in his career Mr. Cohen acquired and operated small businesses and ran a portfolio of commercial real estate, all by using his own capital and the free cash flows from his business ventures. During this period, Mr. Cohen developed the expertise, network and operating fundamentals to provide customized solutions to large corporate sellers looking to divest distressed, non-core business units. Continuing his direct investment strategy, he expanded his direct exposure to larger businesses and has held true to his word that he plans to acquire businesses with the intent to hold them for the long term. Along the way, Mr. Cohen has developed a network of leading operators and industry specialists. Respected by his peers for his ability to put his own money behind his investment initiatives, he has led his portfolio of companies to superior operating results over two decades, benefiting not only CoBe Capital but its operating partners, managers and thousands of employees along the way. His fundamental philosophy is that the inclusion of an industry specialist with local market knowledge allows each acquisition to transition quickly to an independent, entrepreneurial environment and can lead each new business to more quickly achieve the goals laid out during the building of our operating plans. Mr. Cohen resides in New York City with his wife and children. He holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Boston University.
